Today was our final exam. I will be spending tomorrow marking exams and completing report cards. If you have any outstanding work that you need to do, you must come to the library between 9-3 and do work with me. I will not accept any work after 3:00.

Today was our last class period and it was spent giving last minute instructions for the final exam.
Please bring your textbook and a pen to our exam on Thursday, June 18 at 12:30.
Today we had a work period in the library to finish up any outstanding work. Chapter 5 tests were handed back as an example of how the final exam will be marked.
Please note that questions 1 and 3 will definitely be on the final exam/
Mrs. Wethered will be available all day Friday for make up work, but anything done after that will not be accepted.
Today we had a unit test on the Industrial Revolution.
Monday and Tuesday will be review days for next Thursday’s final exam. Please note that if you have any work that needs to be made up, you may do it in class on Monday and Tuesday or in the library with Mrs. Wethered on Friday. No work will be accepted after that day as grades are due 9:00 am Monday, June 23.
Today we looked at the social consequences of the Industrial Revolution (slides 34-81 of Industrialization-Good).
A reminder of the test tomorrow. Students may bring in notes to answer the question : The Industrial Revolution was beneficial to society. Agree or disagree.
The final exam is one week today. Right now there are a possible 6 questions that could be on the exam. I will pick 3 of those questions and you must answer all 3. Please note, you may not bring in any notes to this exam. Also, you must write in blue or black ink. Lastly, you need to remember your textbook.

There will be a unit quiz on Friday consisting of one question: The Industrial Revolution beneficial to society. Agree or disagree. Students may bring in notes to write this in class essay.
Today we were in the library working on the invention of the century poster.

Today we talked about Bill C-24 – the government’s new amendments to the citizenship act. We talked about the ramifications of the bill. Any student who wishes to write a letter to the government giving their opinion of the bill will get bonus marks.
Then we began our discussion of the Industrial Revolution, wish a discussion of agriculturalrevolution.

Today we had a unit test on the American Revolution and then had a work period.
A reminder that the Current events scrapbook is due on Monday. Don’t forget to start studying for the final exam. You really need to look through your green exam package.
Today we learned about the War of 1812. We looked at this video and then war_of_1812_in_north_America (which is very American and remember this bias).
Next, students were given time to work on American Revolutionary War Timeline Project, which is due tomorrow.
Lastly, there is an open book quiz tomorrow based on ss9-unit05-work-sheets.
